The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to trade defensive lineman and former Arizona Cardinal Calais Campbell to the Baltimore Ravens, according to the Associated Press.

In exchange, the Jaguars will receive a 2020 fifth-round pick. The Ravens initially received this pick from the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for Kaare Vedvik, a backup kicker.

Essentially, the Ravens pulled the thumbtack-at-a-swap-meet trade for a five-time Pro Bowler.

Campbell played his first nine seasons with Arizona, where he was a full-time starter in all but his first year. He had 501 total tackles, 107 tackles for loss and 124 quarterback hits and made the 2014 and 2015 Pro Bowls.

With Jacksonville, he made three straight Pro Bowls, started every game and had 195 tackles, 44 tackles for loss and 77 quarterback hits.

He has not missed a game since Oct. 19, 2014.

Baltimore will now have both 2019 Pro Bowl Most Valuable Players: Campbell was named Defensive MVP while quarterback Lamar Jackson was named offensive.

The trade can’t become official until the new league begins.

The Ravens and Campbell will work to finalize and extension once it does, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Campbell, 33, was set to earn $15 million this season and count for $17.5 million against the Jaguars’ cap sheet. The team will keep $2.5 million of dead money from Campbell.

In moving Campbell, declining the option on defensive tackle Marcell Dareus’ contract, and trading cornerback A.J. Bouye to Denver, Jacksonville has cleared about $48 million in cap space.

As Jacksonville continues to tear down, Baltimore grabs an elite defensive player for its team that projects as a Super Bowl contender next year.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
