The Arizona Cardinals have donated to the state’s coronavirus initiative, hosted blood drives and aided food banks. Now, they want to do something for local businesses affected by the COVID-19 social distancing practices.

The “Cardinals Carry-out” campaign includes several measures to put a spotlight on local restaurants and coffee shops.

The team website has posted an interactive map of local restaurants that are favorites of team players and personnel. Clicking on the restaurants shows their hours, details and which players frequent them.

Fans can submit their favorite spots to be posted on the map as well.

Additionally, the team will spotlight local restaurants from April 13-24. The Cardinals also plan to pick restaurants and purchase food from them to distribute to health care workers on the frontlines of fighting the coronavirus.

“Locally-owned restaurants are the heart and soul of a community,” Cardinals president and chairman Michael Bidwill said in a press release. “They are what make the places we live special and give them their identity.

“We know they are hurting right now and we are calling on Cardinals fans to not only support them as customers but also share their favorites with the Red Sea as well. This also gives us the chance to show our gratitude to those in the medical community working tirelessly each day to care for those affected by the coronavirus crisis.”

Here are a few local restaurants that are favorites of Bidwill and Cardinals players.
