The Arizona Cardinals announced Thursday the signing of kicker Zane Gonzalez to a one-year qualifying offer.

The restricted free agent and Arizona State alumnus is expected to make just over $3.2 million on his second-round qualifying offer in 2020 and sits fifth among the highest-paid kickers in the NFL, according to Spotrac.

Gonzalez has played 21 games with the Cardinals since joining the team Week 13 of the 2018-19 season.

In 2019, the kicker played in all 16 games and was named as a Pro-Bowl alternate after ranking fourth in the NFL in both total points (127) and made field goals (31).

In his two seasons with the Cardinals, Gonzalez connected on 38 of his 44 field goal tries (86.4%) and 39 of 41 extra points.

Gonzalez’s 127 points last year tied for the third-best season total in franchise history. His 31 made field goals are third-most in Arizona history.

Gonzalez got his NFL start with the Cleveland Browns, selected as a seventh-round pick (No. 224) in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Over the course of his career, Gonzalez has converted 55-of-69 field goal attempts and 67-of-72 PATs for 232 total points.
