Phoenix Rising FC’s match away to LA Galaxy II has been pushed back a week, USL Championship announced on Wednesday.
The match was originally slated to take place on Aug. 12 but has been rescheduled for Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.
The schedule change came out of an abundance of caution due to numerous positive COVID-19 tests within Los Dos’ camp that were reported on July 29.
This marks the third match that has been postponed or rescheduled because of the July 29 positive test announcement.
Galaxy II last played on July 25 against Sacramento Republic FC and was supposed to host Orange County SC on Friday, but that match was postponed on Tuesday.
When Rising travels to Los Angeles to take on Los Dos on Aug. 19, it will mark the first time Galaxy II has played a match in over three weeks (25 days).
Compare that to Phoenix Rising, who will have played three matches during that time.
PRFC currently sits in second place in Group B, but with a game in hand on group leaders San Diego Loyal SC.

Phoenix’s next match is against New Mexico United on Saturday at Casino Arizona Field.
Coincidentally, the game was originally scheduled to be in Albuquerque, but due to COVID-19 restrictions in the state of New Mexico, the league elected to move the match to the Valley.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be audio broadcasted live on ArizonaSports.com and on the new Arizona Sports app.
