After every Arizona Diamondbacks game we’ll examine the
box score and provide you with instant analysis. So it’s
time to go Inside the Box for April 29, 2011: Cubs 4, Diamondbacks
2
The Good:
Justin Upton homered and starter Armando Galraraga went
seven strong innings, allowing just six hits and three
runs. The Diamondbacks, not necessarily known for fast
starts, got out to a 2-0 first inning lead in this one.
The Bad:
The Diamondbacks did not score after the first inning, and
the long ball from the Cubs did them in. Alfonso Soriano
hit a pair of solo homers, one of which was followed by a
eGeovany Soto shot.
The Funky:
Half of the six hits Galarraga allowed were home runs,
which shouldn’t be too surprising when you figure he leads
baseball in that category.
