Kyler Murray kept pace with Russell Wilson on Sunday Night Football, but his first and only mistake that followed Wilson’s second of three appeared to doom the Arizona Cardinals.

Instead, with 6:44 left, Murray and Arizona responded, ending things with 20 seconds left in a 37-34 overtime win thanks to a 48-yard Zane Gonzalez field goal.

Arizona rallied from 10 down with a 74-yard drive ending on an eight-yard Christian Kirk touchdown catch with 2:28 left before the defense got Wilson off the field after five plays, using three timeouts to keep 52 seconds on the clock. The Cardinals then drove 54 yards, and with two seconds left, Gonzalez nailed a 44-yard field goal to force overtime with a 34-all score.

And from there, things got wild.

Seattle got in six plays, but its first overtime drive stalled on third down as the Cardinals sent corner Byron Murphy on a blitz for a sack. Arizona moved 49 yards. But after the Cardinals called timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty, Gonzalez missed a 41-yard kick on 2nd-and-15 with 2:47 left. Kliff Kingsbury had effectively iced his own kicker.

Then came a 48-yard Seattle screen pass to D.K. Metcalf for a touchdown that was called back on a hold — and then Wilson’s third pick.

Cardinals rookie linebacker Isaiah Simmons, who hadn’t been seen all night, dropped into coverage with two inside linebackers and one outside linebacker after Arizona feigned bringing the house, and Wilson threw an interception into no-man’s land.

Nineteen yards later, Gonzalez hit the game-winner.

With 12 minutes left, on the first play after Wilson had thrown a pick to Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson, Murray double-pumped. His pass intended for Andy Isabella was picked off by Seattle safety Quandre Diggs.

Wilson didn’t miss the next opportunity, driving 45 yards to complete a fourth-down pass to Tyler Lockett in the back of the end zone. A pass initially ruled incomplete showed Lockett had dragged his foot before going out of the back of the end zone, and the play put Seattle ahead 34-24 with 6:44 left.

Murray, until his interception, had been as aggressive as he’s been all year for the 5-2 Cardinals. He completed 34-of-48 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns.

Wilson was lights out as well, save for the interception thrown to Peterson and another to Budda Baker in the first half that avoided becoming an 98-yard pick-six thanks to the hustle of Seahawks receiver D.K. Metcalf.

The MVP favorite Wilson finished 33-of-50 for 388 yards, three touchdowns and three picks.
