Four of Kyler Murray’s first 26 games as the Arizona Cardinals quarterback have come against the Seattle Seahawks and NFL viewers cannot get enough of watching the second-year pro take on his Seahawks counterpart, Russell Wilson.

The latest episode in the Murray-Wilson saga garnered an 8.5 television rating, tying the season-best mark for Thursday Night Football with a game pitting the Chicago Bears against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5, according to Sports Media Watch.

An estimated 14.77 million viewers watched the Arizona-Seattle game on FOX and NFL Network as the Seahawks avenged a Week 7 overtime loss at State Farm Stadium.

Murray is 2-2 in his four games against Seattle. He has thrown for 988 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for 149 yards and two touchdowns in those four games.

While the Cardinals do not have any more primetime games, Seattle is scheduled to face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 on Monday Night Football.

And while the Cardinals-Seahawks matchup may have been the top billing for TNF this season, viewership for the program is on a decline.

When the Steelers played the Browns last season during Week 11, an estimated 15.40 million viewers tuned in for a 9.2 rating. In 2018, the Packers-Seahawks matchup garnered a 10.0 rating with an estimated 16.83 million viewers.

According to the website, the six Thursday Night Football games simulcast on both FOX and NFL Network have seen a decline in ratings and viewership compared to last season.
