Heath Bell is a good fit for the Arizona Diamondbacks

The All-Star break marks the unofficial midway point in the MLB season.
The trade deadline may not be until July 31, but it is clear the Diamondbacks will be buyers while the San Diego Padres will likely be sellers.
At 49-43, the D-backs are three games out of the division lead and will be trying to add arms to their bullpen at the deadline.
Although the Arizona bullpen has performed well in the first half, key contributors have pitched a lot of innings and an extra arm would certainly help.
San Diego Padres closer Heath Bell appears to be the best of all the available relievers and would be a huge addition to the Diamondbacks bullpen.
Bell currently has a 2.43 ERA and is 26 for 27 in save opportunities.
Adding Bell would certainly improve the D-backs bullpen, though it may be a bit harder for Arizona to get him because they are in the same division as the Padres.
San Diego knows how good of a pitcher Bell is and they may be a bit reluctant to trade him within the division where they will end up facing him often.
Although Bell is a closer, he may wind up pitching in a different role should he be traded.
