Phoenix Rising FC announced the signing of a multi-year contract on Friday, but not for the acquisition of a new player.
PRFC will be bringing back Carvana as the club’s kit sponsor through the 2023 USL Championship season.
The Tempe-based online auto retailer has been on the front of Rising’s jerseys since the 2018 campaign.
Call it a coincidence, but ever since Phoenix made the switch from Diplo’s Mad Decent, Rising has gone on to lift a trophy in each of the last three seasons (two conference championships and a Supporters’ Shield).
In fact, PRFC has posted a 58-17-18 (W-D-L) record and a 72% winning percentage in USL play since 2018.
And on matchdays, the usually blue Carvana vending machine on the northwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Loop 202 lights up red in honor of Phoenix Rising.
The club also announced that it will be revealing next season’s kits in early 2021.
“Carvana has been an excellent partner for Phoenix Rising FC the past three seasons,” GM Bobby Dulle said in a press release.
“We’re proud to wear the logo of another emerging, Arizona-based brand on our jerseys. I look forward to many more years of growing alongside Carvana.”
