D-backs release 2012 promotional schedule

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced their 2012 promotional schedule Saturday.

The season, which gets underway against the San Francisco Giants on April 6, will be spotted with more than thirty promotional days, featuring bobbleheads, tattoo sleeves, and other promotional items.

One of the bobbleheads, sponsored by Arizona Sports 620 features pitcher Ian Kennedy and will be handed out before the June 23 game against the Cubs. J.J. Putz (July 28), Justin Upton (September 15) and Matt Williams (August 11) will also be commemorated in bobblehead form during the course of the season. A fifth bobblehead, determined by fan vote, will be distributed before the August 11th game against Washington

Other events on the promotional schedule include: College Nights, Senior Days, and events for the Boy Scouts, a Camp Day, a Martial Arts Night, and a Band Night.

The D-backs will also have post-game fireworks following ten Friday night home games sponsored by Gila River Casinos.
