Diamondbacks president frustrated with team’s play

Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall is “frustrated” with how his team is playing.

One game below .500 and 6.5 back of NL West-leading Los Angeles entering play Thursday, it’s obvious the season has not gone according to plan.

“We’re certainly not at a point where we’re throwing in the towel,” Hall told Arizona Sports 620’s Doug and Wolf Thursday, noting the D-backs will square off with both of the teams they’re trailing before the season ends. “We’re still in position to strike, it’s just frustrating that we’re falling back like we are.”

That frustration could lead to some moves being made, though Hall said any “big” move would likely have to wait until the offseason. But really, is a major shakeup needed? This is a team, after all, that returned intact — if not improved — after winning the division just last season.

“I don’t think we need to act desperately right now or go crazy making changes to the roster,” Hall said.

Right now.
