The Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday announced they’ll be offering a special ticket deal in honor of Sunday’s doubleheader in which Zac Gallen threw a seven-inning one-hitter and Madison Bumgarner one-upped him with a hitless seven innings.
The offer for Friday and Saturday against the Colorado Rockies is $14 a ticket, a nod to the 14 innings thrown by Gallen and Bumgarner. Those two are in line to pitch in those two games as well.
For the no-hitter that "didn't" happen and the one-hitter that did. For the doubleheader sweep. For the 14 scoreless innings.

The game-worn jerseys for both players will be on display, giving fans a chance to take pictures with the gear. The D-backs are sending Bumgarner’s cap to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
The promotion for the D-backs pokes fun at “the no-hitter that didn’t happen,” as Bumgarner’s no-hitter won’t count because it was in seven innings.
The D-backs, and the majority of fans, do not agree.
“It’s a no-hitter to me and it will be forever,” D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said Sunday. “I don’t know what the rule book is going to say … but for what’s going on in that [clubhouse] right now, for the special feeling that Madison gave us today, it was a no-hitter.”
