The Arizona Diamondbacks made a trio of roster moves ahead of their game against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday.
Right-handed pitcher Taylor Clarke was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained teres major muscle in his right shoulder.
The team also transferred RHP Seth Frankoff to the 60-day IL with right forearm soreness.
In a corresponding move, RHP Keury Mella was selected from the Triple-A Reno Aces.
Clarke is on his third year as a member of the D-backs and has pitched 33.2 innings out of the bullpen this season. He holds a 3.74 ERA, has allowed 15 runs and struck out 32.
His most recent outing was Monday against San Francisco, where he pitched one inning and allowed just one hit and no walks.
Frankoff was first placed on the 10-day IL on June 4. The 32-year-old, who signed with Arizona as a free agent in January, made his first start for the D-backs on May 15. Over three starts, Frankoff went 0-2, posting a 9.22 ERA over 13.2 innings pitched.
Mella played in 11 games for the D-backs in 2020, but has yet to see time in the big leagues with the club this season. With the Aces in 2021, Mella has issued nine runs, seven walks and struck out 19 over 18.2 innings of work.
The D-backs continue their series against the Giants at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
