Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning took time out of his offseason to visit the Naval Marine Corps Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to a report from WRBCTV.com
Manning, who went to college at Tennessee, visited the sight where four U.S. Marines were shot and killed by a lone gunman last week. A fifth officer has since died from injuries suffered during the shooting.
In addition, a Chattanooga police officer remains hospitalized for injuries he suffered during the shooting.
Manning’s visit also included taking photos with several police officers, who later posted the photos on social media.
The site where Manning visited remains active, as it was one of two locations where the gunman opened fire.
The attack on the reserve is still being investigated, and has been categorized as an incident of domestic terrorism.
