Arizona Coyotes center Antione Vermette brings Stanley Cup to visit hospital in hometown

Arizona Coyotes fans got as close as they could to winning a Stanley Cup this past season when Antoine Vermette won the trophy with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Vermette, who was dealt at the trade deadline to Chicago, finally got his day with the Stanley Cup and decided to do something a little different — he took the cup on a hospital visit in his hometown.

Vermette, a native of Saint-Agapit, Quebec, opened the day at the hospital in Quebec City and was honored in his hometown during the afternoon.
He scored four goals, including three game-winners, for the Blackhawks after being traded. He scored the game-winning goals in Game 1 and Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Vermette re-signed with the Coyotes on a two-year deal on July 2.
