Report: Cardinals’ Kyler Murray will try to go vs. 49ers, Hopkins a GTD

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will test his ankle in pre-game warmups and try to play, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Murray has not been ruled out of Sunday’s divisional matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, but Rapoport says it could be an uphill battle for the quarterback.
Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is expected to be a game-time decision as he’s been dealing with a hamstring injury, according to Rapoport.
Both players made the trip to San Francisco with the team, but the expectation is both players could sit out, according to Albert Breer.
If Murray is unable to play, back up quarterback Colt McCoy will start in his place.
Both of Arizona’s star players missed the open portion of practice on Friday and were called game-time decisions by head coach Kliff Kingsbury earlier in the week.
The NFC West matchup will be drastically different than the first meeting in Week 5.
49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and tight end Geroge Kittle both missed round one but will be on the field for Sunday’s game.
Kittle will be on a “pitch count” after being activated off of injured reserve from a calf injury this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Cardinals kick off on the road in San Francisco at 2:25 p.m. on Sunday on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
