Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (ankle) will test his health in pregame warm-ups, but for the third straight week, is unlikely to play in Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, according to reports.

Backup quarterback Colt McCoy is also questionable with a pectoral injury, but is expected to get the start, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Cardinals have a bye week following the Week 11 game against the Seahawks, so if Murray is unable to go, he will receive a four-week break before seeing the field again against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 5.

Murray wants to play, but the Cardinals’ main concern is his long term health, per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

McCoy was seen warming up on the field pregame, but Murray was not.

Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will also miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury. Both he and Murray were injured in the Week 8 loss against the Green Bay Packers.

McCoy is 1-1 in two starts filling in for Murray, going 22-of-26 for 249 yards and a touchdown in a win over the San Francisco 49ers, as well as 11-of-20 for 107 yards and an interception in a loss to the Carolina Panthers.

EXTRA POINT

McCoy started for injured New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones in a 2020 game against the Seahawks, winning the game and becoming the only opposing quarterback to leave Seattle with a win last season.
