Cardinals team up with grocery chain to donate $20K to six Valley schools

The Arizona Cardinals announced on Wednesday that the team partnered with the Albertsons/Safeway grocery store chain to donate a total of $20,000 to Valley schools.
Cardinals charities and Albertsons/Safeway teamed up to donate $10,000 to Bernard Black Elementary School in addition to co-branded backpacks for every student.
Former Cardinals tight end Ben Patrick (2007-10), mascot Big Red and team cheerleaders visited the school on Wednesday to present the check and bookbags.
The other $10,000 will be dispersed to five Valley elementary schools, which will receive $2,000 in Albertsons/Safeway gift cards to benefit their respective students.
The five schools receiving the gift cards are listed below:
– John F Kennedy Elementary School
– Cartwright Elementary School
– Frank Borman Elementary School
– Holiday Park Elementary School
– T.G. Barr Elementary School
