The Arizona Coyotes will not have forward Antoine Roussel in the lineup for six weeks after he suffered a lower body injury in an 8-5 win Saturday over the Ottawa Senators.

The announcement comes after the Coyotes recalled forward Hudson Fasching from the Tucson Roadrunners on Monday.

In his first season with the Coyotes (47 games), Roussel has recorded three goals and three assists for six goals. He’s averaging just under 12 minutes of ice time per contest.

Fasching has not played in an NHL game since Nov. 30. In seven games this season, Fasching has one shot on goal and is averaging under nine minutes of ice time per game.

The forward has played a total of 12 games over the past two seasons with the Coyotes.

The Coyotes are coming off back-to-back wins for just the third time this season.

General manager Bill Armstrong has also stayed busy, signing three Coyotes — Dysin Mayo, Travis Boyd and Liam O’Brien — to new deals in the past two weeks and completing two trades the week prior.

The Coyotes sit eighth in the Central Division and last in the Western Conference with 36 points scored.

Arizona is back in action Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. against the Detroit Red Wings. Tune to ESPN 620 AM or 98.7 FM HD-2.
