Mikal Bridges finishes latest great passing sequence for Suns

Mar 30, 2022, 7:56 PM | Updated: 11:09 pm

The Phoenix Suns are great at moving the ball and it can lead to some possessions that are incredible to watch as the basketball whizzes around the court.

The most infamous example, of course, is Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks last year when a 10-pass sequence lit up the timeline.

The latest entry in Wednesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors wasn’t quite as snazzy but in the same ballpark.

Deandre Ayton’s post touch midway through the first quarter started the scramble, and it was nearly a turnover before Mikal Bridges’ long arms made it an easy catch.

From there, his drive and kick to Chris Paul quickly found Jae Crowder, who knew the shot clock was winding down and tried to step back into a 3 before it expired. But Crowder had no airspace and saw Bridges wide open under the hoop, so he whipped a no-look feed that Bridges caught and finished at once to beat the clock.

Phoenix beat Golden State 107-103. Bridges scored 22 points.
