The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Atlanta Braves 8-7 in 10 innings on Tuesday night at Chase Field.

With one out and a tie game in the bottom of the 10th, D-backs outfielder Cooper Hummel came up with an opportunity to win the ballgame.

As David Peralta stood on second base following his game-tying RBI single to left, Hummel was able to get just enough of the bat on a 2-0 pitch to keep it fair down the right field line.

The walk-off marks the very first of Hummel’s career.

Hummel also only had one hit on the night, but waited until the literal last opportunity to notch his 1-for-5 game with an RBI.

In his rookie season, Hummels is hitting .179 with two home runs and nine RBIs to go along with two stolen bases.

The D-backs go for the three-game series sweep over the Braves on Wednesday at 12:40 p.m. on ESPN 620 AM or 98.7 FM HD-2.
