Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Evan Marshall has left the hospital after successful surgery and recovery from a fractured skull.

The D-backs pitcher suffered the injury when a ball struck him in the head during an Aug. 4 game in El Paso while Marshall was pitching for Triple-A Reno.

Marshall tweeted out this message to fans following his discharge from the hospital.

In addition, Marshall also tweeted out pictures and video of his recovery process from his surgery on his fractured skull.

Marshall pitched in 13 games with the D-backs this year, posting a 6.08 ERA with two losses. Last season, Marshall was one of the more consistent members of the bullpen by going 4-4 with a 2.74 ERA in 57 games.
