The Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl is set as the Ohio Bobcats will take on the Wyoming Cowboys on Dec. 30 in Tucson at Arizona Stadium.
Ohio represents the Mid-American Conference and Wyoming represents the Mountain West Conference.
The Cowboys finished third in the Mountain division of their conference behind Air Force and Boise State.
They went 7-5 on the year and 5-3 in the conference. Their offense ranked eighth out of twelve teams while the defense came in sixth.
The Cowboys’ offense was led by running back Titus Swen who ran for 1,309 yards and eight touchdowns, the fifth most rushing yards in the conference.
Ohio was the best team during the regular season for their conference but fell in the championship game to Toledo on Saturday.
The Bobcats went 9-4 with two of their regular season losses being to Penn State and Iowa State, just one year after posting a 3-9 record.
Quarterback Kurtis Rourke will lead the Bobcats, completing 69.1% of his passes for 3,256 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2022.
This is the third matchup between the two programs with the Cowboys winning both of the previous meetings.
This will be the first Arizona Bowl with fans since 2019 after 2020 had no fans and 2021 was canceled completely due to COVID-19.
The game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. MST and will be streamed on Barstool streaming platforms.
