Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darius Robinson and receiver Zay Jones have been ruled out for the game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers despite joining the team on the practice fields this week.

Robinson (calf) was back on the practice field on Wednesday in limited fashion but was downgraded to a non-participant Thursday ahead of a matchup at the Green Bay Packers this Sunday. He remains off the roster and in a ticking 21-day window to return.

“We opened his window, had a little bit of discomfort,” head coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday. “So we’re going to be smart with him.”

Jones, who returned from a five-game suspension on Wednesday, was downgraded to limited after practicing in full on Wednesday. He was listed with a hamstring injury as of Thursday.

“Good to get him out there, looked good,” Gannon said. “Kind of the same thing (as Robinson). We’re going to be smart with him. He’s not going to go this week but he’s trending in the right direction.”

Jones will not be on the active roster until a roster exemption is lifted, although the team released fellow veteran receiver Chris Moore.

Robinson missed the first five games with a calf injury but had his window opened Wednesday. During his first practice, he stretched but mostly watched defensive line drills with his helmet on during the open part of practice while conversing with the trainer.

Arizona added starting defensive tackle Bilal Nichols (finger) and backup pass rusher Jesse Luketa (shoulder) as limited participants on the Thursday injury report.

Cornerback Garrett Williams remained back to work in a limited fashion after missing Week 5 with a groin issue.

Offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum worked out off to the side, and guard Isaiah Adams was back working through drills with the offensive linemen.
