ASU football coach Kenny Dillingham told reporters he had to make his postgame press conference on Saturday quick, as he was headed to Top Golf with a large group of visiting prospects.
The prospects were treated to a 35-31 win over UCF, as they took up much of the ASU sideline for the contest. Then on Sunday, three wide receivers announced their commitments to Arizona State, all of whom were in attendance.
The Sun Devils’ 2025 class was already rich with pass-catching talent, even with the recent de-commitment of four-star wideout Adrian Wilson, who has since committed to Colorado.
ASU’s top three 2025 commits coming into the day were all pass catchers, including quarterback-turned-receiver Cameron Dyer, tight end A.J. Ia and wide receiver Cory Butler Jr.
Which wide receivers committed to ASU football on Sunday?
Chance Ables, a 6-foot-3 wide receiver in the 2025 class, was the first to announce his intentions on Sunday, after he was previously committed to TCU.
Ables is a three-star prospect ranked by 247 Sports’ composite ranking as the 118th-best wide receiver. He held other offers such as Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky and Baylor.
At Plano East High School in Texas, Ables has 245 yards and four touchdowns on 16 catches over six games this season, according to MaxPreps.
An even bigger body at 6-foot-7, Jordan Scott announced his commitment as the most sought-after junior college wide receiver in the 2025 class, hailing from Southwest Mississippi Community College.
ASU has had success turning productive juco players into successful power conference players, most recently helping Brandon Aiyuk and Rachaad White become NFL players.
Scott has 20 catches across eight games this season for 358 yards and four touchdowns.
Arizona State also added its second 2026 commitment thus far, with wide receiver Cooper Reid joining already-committed quarterback Jake Fette.
The 6-foot-4 junior has 50 catches for 834 yards and 13 touchdowns across 10 games this season for Dripping Springs High School in Texas.
He also had offers from Kansas, Houston and Cal, among others.
