Tim Tebow had a day in his first Arizona Fall League outing.

He played baseball, for one. Tebow, the former college football star, NFL flameout, reality TV host and SEC Network analyst, was signing autographs after his 0-for-3 performance when a fan fell ill.

The Phoenix Fire Department told the Associated Press that the man in his 40s was having a seizure.

The fire department said the man was transported to an emergency room. No more details were provided on his condition.

ESPN’s Adam Rubin said Tebow comforted the fan and waited until paramedics arrived.

Prior to the scary moment, it was a busy day for Tebow on the field in his debut for the Scottsdale Scorpions. Tebow crashed into an outfield wall and also got involved in an awkward groundout at home plate during his final at-bat.

This isn’t the first time Tebow has tried to comfort those during a crisis. While on a flight to Phoenix in June, he stepped up to comfort a heart-attack victim’s family.

Tebow recently signed with the New York Mets to a minor league contract.
