Surprise, surprise.

Through three weeks of the 2014 NFL season, it’s the Arizona Cardinals sitting atop the NFC West with a 3-0 record and an impressive 23-14 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the first division game of the year.

For the second straight week, backup quarterback Drew Stanton led the Cardinals to victory, this time hitting rookie speedster John Brown on two third-quarter touchdown passes.

For the 49ers, it’s only the third time they’ve lost back-to-back games under head coach Jim Harbaugh, who took over back in 2011. The Niners (1-2) killed themselves with undisciplined play, racking up nine penalties for 107 yards.

In Seattle, we saw a rematch of Super Bowl 48 — except this time it was a good game. Denver rallied from a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit and tied the game with just :18 left when Peyton Manning hit Jacob Tamme on a 26-yard touchdown pass.

But the Seahawks would prevail in overtime as Marshawn Lynch capped an 80-yard scoring drive in overtime with a 6-yard TD run.

And in St. Louis, the Rams built an early 21-0 lead only to see the Dallas Cowboys stage a furious comeback and win 34-31.

Week 4 Schedule

• Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) vs. San Francisco 49ers (1-2) – Sunday 1:25 p.m. – Levi’s Stadium (FOX)

• Arizona, Seattle and St. Louis all have a bye week.
