The Phoenix Suns have added a point guard, signing 26-year-old Mike James.
James played for the 2015 edition of the Suns’ Summer League team in Las Vegas, averaging 12.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists game. He ended his time with that team by scoring 32 points in a loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
James has made a name for himself playing in Europe the past few years, most notably for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basketball League. He posted 13.1 points and three assists per game in 25 Euroleague games for the Greek club last season, playing a key role for them in their push to the Euroleague playoffs.
The former standout at Lamar is known for his athleticism, with the ball-handling ability to change speeds and take off in a hurry.
