Three-time Arizona Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby is testing the free agent market and recently visited with the Buffalo Bills, reports ESPN’s Field Yates.

Buffalo has hosted a handful of linebackers as it prepared to replace the departed Preston Brown, and Dansby proved himself as a solid option by leading Arizona with 95 tackles in 2017.

The 36-year-old also recorded a sack, a fumble recovery and his 20th career interception last season.

Arizona has taken hits to its front seven this free agency period, having lost tackle Xavier Williams to the Chiefs, plus outside linebacker Kareem Martin to the Giants. The Cardinals also cut defensive end Josh Mauro, who joined Martin and former Cardinals defensive coordinator James Bettcher with the Giants.

If they lose Dansby, the Cardinals have options at middle and inside linebacker with Haason Reddick thriving when he played as a rookie last season and unheralded Josh Bynes returning.

Arizona drafted Dansby in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft, and he played in Arizona from 2004-09. A three-year stint in Miami bridged that time with his second go-around with the Cardinals in 2013.

Dansby played for the Cleveland Browns from 2014-15 and Cincinnati Bengals in 2016 before returning to Arizona last season.

The veteran linebacker wasn’t the only Cardinals free agent who continues feeling out the market.

Backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert recently met with the Tennessee Titans, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It would appear Gabbert is not likely to return to Arizona with the team signing quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon in free agency. Gabbert completed 55.6 percent of his 171 passes in five games last season for 1,086 yards, six touchdowns and six interceptions.
