Team League Week/Overall Standing
Reno Aces Pacific Coast League (Triple-A) 4-2 / 29-35 4th place in Pacific Northern Division (9.5 games back)
Jackson Generals Southern League (Double-A) 5-3 / 35-28 1st place in North Division (1.0-game lead)
Visalia Rawhide California League (High-A) 4-2 / 33-30 2nd place in North Division (6.0 games behind Stockton)
Kane County Cougars Midwest League (Single-A) 1-6 / 30-32 5th place in Western Division (6.5 games back)

Recker, Cron swinging hot bats – The Reno Aces went 4-2 on the week and had contributions from various players across their roster, but catcher Anthony Recker and outfielder Kevin Cron both hit particularly well. Cron raised his batting average by 15 points, had a two-homer game and went 8-for-22 (.363) with a double, two home runs and four RBI this week. Recker, meanwhile, had a big performance on Sunday when he went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk, six RBI and eight total bases.

Medrano returns with a bang – Jackson got back second baseman Kevin Medrano this week, who had missed time due to injury, but it looked like he didn’t skip a beat. The 28-year-old went 7-for-16 (.438) with four doubles and an RBI in three games. He was one of five Generals named to the 2018 Southern League All-Star Game.

Vargas continues his dominance – After pitching seven shutout innings to cap off the previous week, Emilio Vargas again held his opponents scoreless when he took the mound for the Visalia Rawhide on Saturday. He went six innings, allowing no runs on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Vargas has not allowed a run since May 25 and currently holds a 1.13 ERA.

Daulton Varsho not cooling off – Visalia catcher Daulton Varsho‘s .289 average is bested only by, coincidentally, the other Rawhide catcher — Dominic Miroglio. Varsho kept it up this week by going 6-for-23 with a triple, a home run, an RBI and two walks. The left-handed-hitting Wisconsin native is the D-backs’ No. 6 prospect, according to MLB.com.

Randall Delgado continues rehab – D-backs reliever Randall Delgado has been on the DL all season with an oblique strain but has been pitching on a rehab assignment. He’s made six appearances for Visalia so far, allowing three runs on 6.2 IP for a 4.05 ERA. This past week, the right-hander pitched two outings for one inning apiece, allowing no runs combined.

As for the Hillsboro Hops (Class A short season) and the Missoula Osprey (Rookie), both teams will get their seasons started this Friday.
