Manager Torey Lovullo revealed after the game that Marte would be day-to-day, and would be re-evaluated on Sunday with the hope of him being available.
The injury occurred while Marte was attempting to beat out an infield hit in the seventh inning.
Upon touching first base, he came up grabbing his leg before going to the ground in pain.
Nick Ahmed, who came in to pinch-run for Marte Saturday after the injury, will fill his spot in the infield on Sunday.
Additionally, Christian Walker will make his first start in left field at the major league level.
Walker went 0-1 with a strikeout against the Giants Saturday.
The slugger has hit .267/.328/.506 with 46 hits, nine doubles, a triple and 10 home runs in 44 games with Triple-A Reno this season.
