D-backs place Saito on DL, recall Zagurski

The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed right-handed pitcher Takashi Saito on the 15-day DL with a strained left hamstring.
In a corresponding move, the team has selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Mike Zagurski.
Saito, 42, appeared in 10 games with the D-backs, going 0-0 with a 6.14 ERA in 7.1 innings of work. He allowed two runs on three hits in just one-third of an inning Sunday against the Nationals.
Zagurski, 29, was 0-0 with a 6.18 ERA in 32 games with the D-backs before being designated for assignment on Aug. 11.
