Major League Baseball released the 2017 schedule on Wednesday, and the Arizona Diamondbacks will open the season at home against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, April 2. The game will air on ESPN.

It’s the first time the team will open up the season on a Sunday. The time for first pitch is yet to be determined.

The teams will get Monday off before resuming the series on Tuesday.

The D-backs then go on a 10-game road trip, starting with a three-game series in San Francisco on April 10, to face the Giants in their home opener. They will then continue on to Los Angeles and end in San Diego on April 20.

The D-backs will play 20 interleague games in 2017. Their opponents at home are the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros. The away games are at Detroit, Houston, the Minnesota Twins and the Kansas City Royals.

Their two longest homestands are April 21-30 and June 23-July 2. Each homestand is 10 games long.

For Labor Day weekend, the D-backs will be on the road against the Colorado Rockies and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Many of the D-backs’ divisional games are in September, as 29 of the final 34 games of the season will be played against NL West foes. They’ll have their last home game of the season against the Giants, and end the season with a trip to Kansas City.

As far as this season goes, the D-backs will wrap things up in early October. The team is currently sitting in last place in the division with a record of 60-84. They are 21 games behind the first-place Dodgers with 18 games remaining.
