Report: Cardinals to cut rookie safety Marqui Christian

The Arizona Cardinals spoke highly of fifth-round pick Marqui Christian over the offseason, though the rookie was inactive for each of the team’s first three regular season games.
And now, his time with the organization may have come to an end.

Christian was selected with the 167th overall pick out of Midwestertern State, and early on made an impression with his instincts and hard-hitting style.
The Cardinals brought in a group of players on Tuesday as they look for injury replacements as well as a chance to possibly improve a roster that is off to a disappointing 1-2 start.
The Cardinals may be hoping to sneak Christian onto the practice squad, though he will have to clear waivers first.
