Pistons grant child in foster care his wish: A tour of The Palace

Oct 26, 2016, 3:55 PM

Re’Shov is a foster child, and his one wish was to see The Palace, the home of the Detroit Pistons.

The Pistons granted that wish and gave Re’Shov the experience of a lifetime.

He was able to take the court and shoot around with John Coumoundouros, the team equipment manager. Re’Shov was given a tour of the locker room before he visited the practice facility to watch the Pistons work.

“I thought it was going to be a little cheesy tour, but that was not the case,” Re’Shov said. “They gave me a full preview of everything.”

Re’Shov was given free gear and got autographs from all the players. Not only did he get to go explore The Palace, but he received free tickets from Andre Drummond.

“It was the whole team, and it was amazing. They were all nice, caring, and they talked to me, everything. It felt weird, it was exciting,” he said.
