It was a concern all week long for the Arizona Cardinals: their depth at the wide receiver position was at risk given the injuries and health considerations.

The Cardinals, though, received good news Sunday morning when it was announced that both Michael Floyd and John Brown will be in uniform for the road matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

The two had been considered questionable.

Floyd (hamstring) returned to practice on a limited basis Friday, while Brown was limited all week dealing with his own hamstring trouble, the result of having the sickle-cell trait that was diagnosed by a recent blood test.

“I’m feeling good,” he said on Friday.

Also good to go is starting left tackle Jared Veldheer, who will play with a cast on his right hand to protect a broken finger.

The Cardinals’ inactives include tight end Darren Fells, receiver Chris Hubert, linebacker Alex Okafor, guard Cole Toner plus defensive tackles Olsen Pierre, Ed Stinson and Xavier Williams.

Fells (ankle), Okafor (calf) and Stinson (toe) had already been ruled out.

Fells is missing his second game of the season, Okafor his first and Stinson his fourth in a row.

For the Panthers, cornerback James Bradberry (foot), defensive tackle Vernon Butler (ankle) and tackle Michael Oher (concussion) are out due to injury.

The others not in uniform for Carolina are running back Cameron Artis-Payne, linebacker Jeremy Cash as well as tight ends Chris Manhertz and Scott Simonson.

Winning in Carolina has proven difficult for the Cardinals in recent memory. They have not won in that state since the 2008 postseason.

“This is a huge game for both of us,” head coach Bruce Arians said this week. “They’re coming off their bye week and reset their goals. We’re hobbling into it, but it’s a big game, big game for us on the road. We know we’re going to have to win on the road the rest of the way.”
