Get ready for March Madness with Pie Tops shoes

If you’ve ever woken up in the morning and thought, “I think Pizza Hut should make shoes,” then you’re in luck.

The national pizza chain is stepping into the shoe market with “Pie Tops” shoes. As if that wasn’t strange enough, the basketball shoes will feature a button that orders pizza when pressed.

Those “Pie Tops” likely aren’t the highest quality shoe Grant Hill has ever worn, but the added bonus of a pizza-ordering button must’ve been too hard to pass up.

For those wondering how it works, when the button is pressed, it connects to the Pie Tops app (separate from the Pizza Hut app) that orders the pizza, according to Adweek.

You’ll be able to see more when the Pie Tops commercial airs during March Madness. Unfortunately, there will only be 64 shoes made to match the 64-team field of March Madness, and most will go to influencers and media members, but some lucky Pizza Hut fans will likely get some pairs as well.
