The Arizona basketball program cancelled its scheduled final exhibition game in Spain following the terrorist attack in Barcelona on Thursday.

All of the Wildcat players and staff members on the trip were safe and accounted for, per a team release.

The Wildcats’ Twitter account posted a video of the players visiting the La Sagrada Familia tourist attraction, which is just north of where the attack occurred in Barcelona’s Las Ramblas district, early Thursday morning.

At least 13 people were killed Thursday morning when a car drove in a crowd. The Associated Press said at least 50 more were injured.

Arizona was scheduled to play Mataro Parc Boet on Friday. The team was working on travel plans to return to Tucson.

The Oregon State, Clemson, Tulane and Grand Canyon basketball teams were also in Spain. All reported their players safe, though the Beavers were inside their hotel when the attack happened just outside.

GCU reporter Paul Coro confirmed the team was safe and won its Spain exhibition opener, 96-58, at a venue just outside of Barcelona.
