Arizona Wildcats guard Allonzo Trier suffered a bone bruise Monday and is day-to-day due to the knee injury, reports ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
WildcatAuthority.com reported that Trier will sit out of practice Tuesday and be reevaluated Wednesday.
Arizona’s leading scorer hurt his left knee by colliding with a North Dakota State player in Arizona’s 83-53 win in McKale Center. Trier returned later in the second half with an ice bag on his knee.
“It’s scary as a player when you feel that in your knee,” Arizona coach Sean Miller said after the game on Monday. “I’m sure he’ll have a bruise there and hopefully he’s good for the long haul, and hopefully we get some good news.”
Trier, a junior, is averaging 21.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
The Wildcats host UConn on Thursday.
