Arizona Wildcats head coach Sean Miller is under fire after a report from ESPN’s Mark Schlabach revealed that he had conversations regarding potential payments to secure a commitment from freshman Deandre Ayton.

According to Schlabach’s sources, the conversations were heard between Miller and Christian Dawkins, the key figure in the FBI’s investigation into college basketball corruption.

The wiretaps revealed that Miller had directed Dawkins to facilitate any agreements involving money for Ayton with Emanuel “Book” Richardson, who was an assistant under Miller at the time and was arrested in September as part of the investigation.

The news of Miller’s involvement comes just one day after junior guard Allonzo Trier was ruled ineligible by the NCAA after testing positive for a banned substance.

With the Arizona basketball program at center stage for all of the wrong reasons, those who feel closer to the situation reacted to the news on Twitter.

Of course, other experts and fans of college basketball weighed in on the situation as well.
