Carson Palmer visits Cardinals’ practice ahead of induction

The Arizona Cardinals will induct quarterback Carson Palmer into the team’s Ring of Honor at halftime on Sunday.

Ahead of the ceremony, Palmer and his family stopped by the Cardinals’ practice facility on Saturday to see some familiar, and not so familiar, faces.

He reunited with general manager Steve Keim and a few players coming off field like running back David Johnson, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, safety Budda Baker and linebacker Chandler Jones.

“It’s Saturday, man. Old men aren’t supposed to sweat today,” Palmer joked with Larry Fitzgerald.

Palmer met Kyler Murray ahead of the team’s walk-through. He asked his kids if they knew Murray’s position and number.

“One! C’mon, man you’re suppose to know that,” Palmer joked after one of his kids answered 25.

Palmer said back in June that he’s a “sucker for the bucket drill,” but there was no challenge or competition issued to take on the rookie quarterback.

Palmer will be the 18th member inducted into the Ring of Honor for the Cardinals. He will join Jim Hart and Kurt Warner as the only quarterbacks in the ring of honor.
