Arizona Wildcats transfer Scottie Young Jr. has decided to leave Tucson for West Virginia, the safety announced on Twitter.
Young started all 12 games for the Wildcats last season, finishing fourth on the team in tackles with 66. He had three pass breakups and one interception.
Through his three-year career with Arizona, Young recorded 157 tackles, five interceptions and one pick-six as a sophomore in 2018.
In 2017, Young was charged with a misdemeanor and suspended for the season opener against BYU. The Wildcats lost that game, 28-23.
Young will join his former defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae in Morgantown. Addae coached Young during Rich Rodriguez’s tenure in Tucson.
Young will be immediately eligible to play as a grad transfer.
