Monday night, it became official.
Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Tuffy Gosewisch did indeed full tear his left ACL last week in St. Louis and will undergo season-ending surgery.
It’s a tough break — not only for Gosewisch, who toiled in the minor leagues for 10 years before getting his first chance to be a starting player this season — but also for the D-backs, who will miss his defense and ability to handle the pitching staff.
