Now that we’ve had a day to sit back and really digest the Arizona Cardinals’ 2022 NFL Draft class, it’s time to give our takes on the team’s overall haul.

And what better way to do that than breaking down each of the new Cardinals in seven words or less.

Cardinals Corner co-hosts Tyler Drake and Erik Ruby, take it away:

WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown (draft-day trade)

Drake: Makes even more sense with Hopkins suspension.

Ruby: Makes the DeAndre Hopkins news more tolerable.

TE Trey McBride (second round)

Drake: Surprising in the moment. Could pay off.

Ruby: Weird position to pick but he’s SOLID.

OLB Cameron Thomas (third round)

Drake: The Cardinals finally address pass rusher!

Ruby: Could see him contributing within weeks.

OLB Myjai Sanders (third round)

Drake: Another pick, another pass rusher.

Ruby: Much needed option/depth at position.

RB Keaontay Ingram (sixth round)

Drake: Rushing ability evident, but can he catch?

Ruby: Break-glass-in-case-of-emergency RB.

OL Lecitus Smith (sixth round)

Drake: There’s potential, just have to unlock it.

Ruby: Raw but competes at shallow position.

CB Christian Matthew (seventh round)

Drake: Overly eager to get burned by D-Hop.

Ruby: Insane he’s “too excited” to face D-Hop.

OLB Jesse Luketa (seventh round)

Drake: Flexibility to play inside or outside linebacker.

Ruby: Only expect special teams snaps.

OL Marquis Hayes (seventh round)

Drake: Late steal. Familiar with Kyler and Hollywood.

Ruby: OKLAHOMA BOYZ IN AZ.
