Arizona State AD: ‘We’re really happy with Todd Graham’

Arizona State football head coach Todd Graham has certainly made a pristine first impression. The Sun Devils have stormed out of the gate to a 4-1 start under their new regime and have impressed Athletic Director Steve Patterson in the process.
“We wanted to hire somebody who had been a head coach in the past, somebody that played an exciting offensive style of play, somebody that could have some accountability and discipline in the locker room and somebody who could reach out to the media, the donors, the fans and student body and relate well to them,” Patterson told Arizona Sports 620’s Doug & Wolf Show Tuesday. “All those things [Graham] has done a great job of.”
Graham has had an immediate impact on the Devils, preaching and implementing a high-octane style of play and coaching a more disciplined squad on the football field. Patterson couldn’t be more pleased with his hire and envisions having Graham at the helm for the foreseeable future.
