Sure, you could read the box score and know who won, but we all know that won’t tell you everything that happened in a football game. So, we give you ‘Cat Tracks’, providing you with the analysis, quotes and notes from Arizona’s October 6 loss to Stanford. Final score: Stanford 54, Arizona 48.

The Good:

Arizona quarterback Matt Scott had a record day. He completed 45 of 69 passes for 491 yards with three touchdowns and one interception against Stanford.

The Wildcats accumulated 617 total yards of offense but couldn’t hold on for the win.

The Bad:

Scott’s interception came at the worst possible time for the Cats. He was picked off by Chase Thomas in overtime, which eventually lead to Stanford’s game-winning touchdown run by Stepfan Taylor.

Arizona blew a two touchdown lead to lose their third straight game. They also remain winless in conference play this season.

Noted:

The Cats became the first team to surpass 400 yards in the air against Stanford since the Sooners did so in the 2009 Sun Bowl.

There were a total of 11 lead changes in the game.

Coming Up Next:

The Wildcats have a bye week next weekend. The are set to face Washington at home on October 20.
