Arizona Wildcats’ Scooby Wright named Pac-12 Defensive Player of Week again

For the second straight week, Arizona Wildcats sophomore linebacker Scooby Wright III has been named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.
Wright recorded 19 tackles, including three sacks and 4.5 tackles for a loss, in UA’s 17-7 loss Saturday at UCLA.
Wright leads the Pac-12 with 12.1 tackles per game and five forced fumbles on the season. The sophomore from Windsor, California has 12 sacks and 18.5 tackles for a loss in 2014.
Wright earned defensive POW honors after compiling eight tackles, three sacks and three forced fumbles in the Wildcats’ 59-37 win Oct. 25 at Washington State.
