Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will not start on Monday Night Football against his hometown Dallas Cowboys, coach Jonathan Gannon said Saturday, after being a limited participant in practice on both Thursday and Friday.
Gannon added Murray could still have a role on game day and is not going on injured reserve as of Saturday.
“Every player, every injury’s kind of unique. He’s been pushing, we’ve been pushing,” Gannon told reporters. “He is getting better … but he’s just not ready to go yet.”
Murray missed Arizona’s previous two games ahead of the bye week with a foot injury, during which time Jacoby Brissett started.
Murray was seen working through drills during the open portion of Friday’s practice, although he was primarily throwing to backup pass catchers. No quarterback was made available to the media after practice on Thursday or Friday.

3 weeks of rest is not enough to heal up a foot injured when taking a snap off the helmet? Sounds like he really just doesn't want to play.
Nfl contracts don't really work the same way as basketball. It would kill the Cardinals with dead cap money... And trust me when I tell you Tua is MUCH worse than Kyler.
Someone’s getting traded, someone’s getting traded 🤫
