D-backs bullpen borrows Brewers’ umbrella, alters logo with tape

May 28, 2017, 2:17 PM | Updated: 2:52 pm

By their fourth game at Miller Park this week, the Arizona Diamondbacks had fully settled into their surroundings.

The D-backs’ relief staff did so to a very obvious degree on Sunday afternoon. In the sunny bullpen, Archie Bradley, Tom Wilhelmsen and Randall Delgado found themselves shade, but it was apparent they hadn’t prepared for such a bright vantage point.

Having left their umbrellas at home, the pitchers had borrowed a Milwaukee Brewers umbrella. And to make it their own, they used the same tape used to attach it over their seats to white out the Brewers’ logo and label the umbrella with an ‘A’.

Was it the best artwork?

No.

Did it get the job done?

It seems so.
