Cardinals to wear black Sunday against Giants

Sep 29, 2011, 8:46 PM | Updated: 9:54 pm

The Cardinals are back, and they’ll be in black.

Arizona will wear its alternate jersey Sunday against the
Giants, according to ACCardinals.com’s Darren Urban,
instead of the traditional home red.

The jersey, which can be worn a maximum of twice per season,
debuted last year and became an instant hit.

However, while they may have looked good the team’s play did
not match its style, as the Cardinals struggled in the new
duds, losing to both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San
Francisco 49ers.

Maybe this year is different, though. The blackout worked
for Arizona State a few weeks back, so maybe the Cardinals
will find similar success.
